about

EXPLORING VOCAL REVERSIBILITY
Typically, when training the voice, we aim toward one good sound and work toward that sound by attempting that sound over and over in similar ways. From a certain point of view, this seems logical: There’s something I want to be able to do, so I’m going to keep trying to do that thing until it works. But, from what we know from the science of motor learning, this is the least effective way to improve an action. Often it is by exploring seemingly unrelated options that we figure out what we’ve been looking for all along - and it can happen dynamically and effortlessly.
By exploring the concept of reversibility, you will see just how many different ways there are to get to and from any point...vocal or otherwise.
